Privacy Policy

Draft. Last updated October 2026.

YupMe (based in Canada) helps people fill spots for their events by texting people they know. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Organizers

When you sign up we collect your name and mobile number. You add contacts (names, mobile numbers and, optionally, emails and notes) and events. If you buy credits, payments are processed by Stripe; we don't see or store your card details.

People who receive invitations

If an organizer you know adds you to an event, we store your name and mobile number as they entered them, and your replies (YUP, NOPE, STOP and so on). We use this only to send that organizer's invitations and related updates, and to honour opt-outs.

Text messages and opt-outs

  • Reply STOP to any YupMe text to stop all YupMe texts from every organizer. Reply START to opt back in.
  • We keep a record of opt-outs so we can honour them.
  • Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
  • We never sell personal information and never use your number for marketing.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers that run YupMe: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Telnyx (sending and receiving texts) and Stripe (payments). They process data on our behalf and may store it in the United States.

Keeping and deleting data

Organizers can delete contacts and events at any time. We keep records of consent and opt-outs as long as needed to meet messaging rules. To ask for a copy or deletion of your information, email hello@yupme.app.
